Skoda KORAQ is the new addition to Skoda Auto line-up in India. It can be seen as the younger sibling to KODIAQ and will be priced much lower to the full grown luxury SUV. But, it do comes with all the bells and whistles on the outside as well as on the inside. Exterior wise it will look smaller to Kodiaq but one can see that KORAQ is derived straight from KODIAQ as the lines and curves resembles a lot. The stance of the SUV is commanding with the signature Skoda grille, wide smiling lower bumper and dual head-lamp set which we expect to be fully LED with LED DRLs. The SUV seems to be riding on bigger wheels so, ride quality is as good as in a Skoda gets.

Under the hood, it will be equipped with a 1.5 TSI petrol engine, mated to a seven-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission, delivering an impressive power output of 150 PS (110 kW), and a peak torque output of 250 Nm. Other exotic features like panoramic sunroof and SKODA virtual cockpit is also included. A top of the line variant which will include 9-Airbags is also there.

Introduced in 2011, the RAPID marked ŠKODA AUTO’s foray into the popular C segment, in India, and garnered much appreciation from customers across the nation. It soon proved its mettle as a perfect blend of the brand’s timeless design ideals, superior build quality, and European craftsmanship, all at a competitive price point. Today, the RAPID continues to be ŠKODA AUTO's best seller in the Indian market setting benchmarks for functionality, practicality, and spaciousness in its segment. Although with the competition rising, Skoda is facing a few setbacks but with the the new 1.0L TSI engine, we are hoping that this engine will be a new bench mark in the segment.

As, the whole world is struck by Covid-19, we don't know when we will get the chance to drive both the cars. Till then stay tuned for more updates
